Apostle Calvin Miller and Pastor Helen Miller are the dynamic, Spirit-led founders of The Chosen Church of Houston, a ministry dedicated to building Kingdom men and women through a four-fold process of Accountability, Stability, Capability, and Ability. Together, they lead with unshakable faith, deep compassion, and a steadfast commitment to seeing lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
Apostle Calvin Miller
A proud Houstonian, Apostle Calvin grew up in the Sunnyside/Southpark neighborhoods and graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School, Class of 2001. He served with distinction in the United States Navy for 11 years, including six deployments, and was stationed in Balad, Iraq, where he survived an explosion that left him 100% disabled. His life’s testimony reflects resilience, perseverance, and God’s redeeming power.
As an author, visionary, and powerhouse intercessor, Apostle Calvin has birthed citywide prayer gatherings, community outreach events, and mentorship programs for men and youth. His heart beats for the broken, the lost, and those overlooked by society, leading him to minister in high-crime areas, schools, prisons, and homeless districts across Houston. His favorite declaration—“Everything is birthed through prayer”—is evident in every ministry endeavor he undertakes.
Pastor Helen Miller
Pastor Helen is a powerful woman of prayer, wisdom, and grace whose ministry reaches women, families, and communities with compassion and truth. She partners with her husband in vision and service, bringing a nurturing yet strong leadership presence to The Chosen Church of Houston. Her heart for women’s discipleship and empowerment has led to teaching, mentoring, and creating spaces where women can grow in their Kingdom identity.
Together in Ministry and Marriage
Married for over 19 amazing years, Calvin and Helen are the proud parents of four children—Destiny, Nevaeh, Calvin Jr., and Solomon Josiah—and grandparents to one grandchild. Their marriage is a living testimony of covenant love, perseverance, and Kingdom partnership.
Through The Chosen Church of Houston, they are on a mission to reach the lost, restore the broken, and raise up Kingdom leaders who will transform families, communities, and nations for the glory of God.
